Review Policy

1. Fake reviews aren't allowed

Every review I show must come from a real customer about work I actually did for them. I don't write reviews, pay anyone to write them, buy them, swap them with other businesses, or ask family, friends or anyone who works with me to post them. I don't post negative reviews about other businesses either.

2. No incentives

I don't offer money, discounts, free work, prize draws or anything else in return for a review, good or bad, so no review shown here was given in return for anything.

3. How I ask for reviews

I ask every customer the same way when a job is finished, usually by text with a link to my Google profile. I ask whether or not I think the customer was happy, and I don't tell anyone what to write or how many stars to give.

4. Where the reviews on this site come from

The reviews on this website are copied from my Google Business Profile, where you can read every review in full. On each page I show a few that relate to that page's work. I quote them word for word. Where a review is long, I shorten it and mark the cut with "…", without changing what the customer said.

The rating and review count shown on this site are taken from Google and updated by hand, so they can briefly lag behind the live profile.

5. Reporting a review you think is fake

If you think a review about my business is fake, or was written by someone connected to me, please tell me on 07555 363978 or at zak@hobdaysheating.com. I'll look into it and, if it doesn't meet this policy, remove it from this website and report it to Google. I can't delete reviews on Google myself, but you can also report any review there directly using the "Report review" option.

6. Checking this policy

I check the reviews on this site against this policy whenever I add new ones, and review the policy itself at least once a year.
